Blaiklock Block on Barrington Street
previous next
This row of five two-and-a-half storey brick buildings, c. 1865, built by George Blaiklock are of a similar architectural style, known as the Halifax House style. Typical of the Halifax House style, the buildings are laid out in the side hall entrance plan, three bays wide and deep from front to back. These buildings complement one another and, as a group, strongly contribute to the architectural and heritage character of the surrounding area and proposed District.
